记嘉定世外2019第一学期英语演讲与辩论班总结汇报

 

    新年钟声之余音仿佛依旧在校园中回荡,在本学期学习生活接近尾声之时,嘉定世外演讲辩论班的同学们精心地交出了一份特别的“期末成绩单“。嘉定世外六至八年级英语演讲与辩论班的学期总结汇报在我校戏剧教室正式举行。

    紧张的期末评量阶段刚刚过去,而参加英语演讲与辩论学期汇报的同学们却再次来到校园,脸上泛着志在必得的一抹红:经过一整个学期的学习与锻炼,大家在经验丰富的外教Bart的指导下收获了许多演讲和辩论方面的理论和实战经验。他们纷纷摩拳擦掌,预备在今天的舞台上向家长们和老师们一展风采。

    第一次参与汇报的六年级同学们演讲主题各异,既生动有趣,又富于感染力。面对家长们期待的神情时,原本还有些紧张的他们,努力抛去心中的杂念,展现出了优雅大气的仪态和笑容。六(2)班的何乐琪和朱子柔以说真话为主题,从自己说谎的小故事及这学期课内学习的小说“Charles”的故事引入主题,深入分析了大部分人说谎的原因。借用狼来了的故事,剖析说谎的后果,继而倡导大家要真诚待人,不说谎话。六(4)班的田悦扬和刘书扬引用身边的事例,深入探讨电脑对我们身心及生活带来的坏处以及电脑对我们日常生活、沟通及学习带来的各种好处,并建议大家要理性使用电脑。六(3)班的何辰卓和魏巍尔借用生活中的各种事例,让大家明白了倾听的重要性。演讲时,指导老师Bart不断地投来赞许的目光,精彩处观众席爆发出的热烈掌声,这一切都给予了刚刚接触英语辩论与演讲不久的同学们莫大的鼓励。掌声与目光都是他们将来学习道路上,为了实现自己美好梦想,继续前行的动力!

    前有六年级学弟妹们惊艳的演讲,后有七八年级学长学姐们的精彩辩论。他们的辩论分为两场,主题分别为“摇号入学政策好不好”和“是否赞同使用社交网络”。高年级的学长们果然实力出众,他们的辩论精彩纷呈:辩手们清晰明了的观点叙述、指出对方漏洞时的一针见血、质询时犀利迅捷的反应、完整严谨的总结陈词……不同于之前六年级同学们演讲时的轻松氛围,他们的辩论更加扣人心弦,也让人难以抉择究竟支持哪方观点,令人意犹未尽、感觉酣畅淋漓。

    时光流动,天色渐暗,这场充满思维激荡的总结汇报,在学子们对所学知识技能之热情高涨的展示中完美落幕。最后,根据总结汇报的表现以及一个学期以来参与课程的情况,指导老师Bart对大家提出了建议和期许,并且为最佳团队和最佳个人颁发了奖状。当同学们一同站在台前,回顾这一个学期的收获和成长时,大家的心中燃起了满满的自信:We are the BEST!

    Stay hungry, stay foolish.英语演讲与辩论是英语学习的一簇分支,它为英语学科的学习,增添了色彩与无穷的魅力,也让同学们更加热爱英语,更加积极地探索和思考生活中的事物。“演”出才艺,“辩”出自信,他们将继续挑战和学习的脚步,张扬自己的风采,点亮青春的舞台!

 

演讲片段:Want to be a monkey?

  Let us suppose if nobody obeys the laws. Students can't go to school because there are no teachers. Adults can't go to work because it's too dangerous. Sick people can't find any doctors and the streets are full of robbers and murderers. Everybody has to hide at home in the long term and many people will die because of hunger, thirst, illnesses and so on. The society will be in a great chaos. To some extent, human beings will degrade to monkeys . Although they don't look like monkeys, they act like monkeys.

Nowadays, computers have become an important source for us to acquire knowledge. Most of the information in major libraries can be acquired through computers. In this way, we can not only consult experts quickly, but also save extra expense and time spent running back and forth from libraries. At the same time, through computer surfing, we can learn about a huge amount of knowledge which cannot be found in books. In addition, we can browse the latest, fastest and most authoritative news, which enables us middle school students to understand the life experiences around us.

Is the school entrance lottery a good idea

We think this policy is a very fair way for students from different backgrounds to get education. Most students can have the same well education as others. They can study in a high-quality environment and enjoy faculty strength. Also, it can help avoid inequality. Students from poor families can have the access to better educational resources while those from rich families will not have the privilege. What's more, it can also relieve students’ pressure. Finally, lottery can narrow the gap between publicly maintained schools and private schools.
